There are some very cheesy sites out there on how to make money fast so I wanted to write this one with some very real and practical advice on how to make money fast.

Making money quickly can take some practice so no better time to start than now.

If you need to make some money instantly and you don’t have any irons already in the fire then you will either need to sell something or (as much as it pains me to say it) you will need to go and do some work. If you don’t have any investments or projects on the go and you need cash today then you will need to find some jobs of the kind you can get paid cash instantly for and/or you have something worth selling that you can find a buyer for quickly. Don’t dismay, this is not as bad as it sounds, keep reading.

Before you start thinking that these two options seem like hard work or not quick enough then think about the alternatives. You could borrow some money but then you would have to pay it back and probably with interest so you would need to find the money again anyway, you are just delaying making the money (and adding to your problems). You might also think that people make money instantly online all the time, you have heard all the stories right? Wrong! When it comes to money making in the online world it is not much different from the offline world; you have something to sell or you trade a service and these are the two things I have already suggested.

But what about the ad trading, build a list and a site, start a wonder blog and get cash? Open your eyes, see how many people are using the internet, don’t you think that MILLIONS of people haven’t already tried these “once in a lifetime, all you need is an internet connection and a computer” schemes and found out the hard way? Yes you can spend months and years working hard building up sites and blogs but it takes time and effort and the rewards are more like hundreds of dollars per month not thousands or millions. If you want to put in this kind of time and effort that’s great but there are better ways to create a good business than to get sucked in by scams but I am not going to get sidetracked.

Forget about starting something new at this point, it takes time to build up contacts and a reputation as well as research and other things you don’t have time for if you want to make money fast (think about these tomorrow and come back to this blog for more info).

Stick to what you know and who you know. To give you some ideas for making money quickly here some things I did in the past to raise money for other projects (these were done some time ago so allow for inflation and price changes but hopefully you will get the idea):

• I cleaned and waxed cars really well inside and out for £30 ($45) when top valet companies were charging double that. I only needed £100 quickly, I made a lot of phone calls and got 4 people interested. I did all 4 cars that day and had £120 ($180) before 4.00pm.

• I collected together a portable CD player I only used about once a year, an old but reasonable TV someone gave me that was sat in the garage and a few other things that were worth a small amount each but together worth a quite a bit. Again I made loads of phone calls, told everyone they had to go today so make me an offer. I sold everything in 2  - 3 hours and made about £150 ($200). Considering I was getting about £100  before tax for a hard 10 hour day in my job at the time, I didn’t think it was bad for a mornings phone calls. I probably sold them a bit cheap but I could have let them rot and devalue more until they were worthless so it was better take some cash straight away rather than wait for a better deal that would never come.

• I looked after someones dog while they went away for a few days and asked for some money in advance.

• I cleaned up a factory on my own over a weekend for someone I knew through a friend and made £700 ($1000) for 2 days work which was more than I made in 5 days in my normal job at the time. It was hard work but really worth it. This job came about purely by offering to do anything to make some money and talking to enough people.

I have loads more of these examples and not just from trying it in one country, at that time of my life I lived in the United States for a while and in various countries in Europe and nothing stopped me doing the same to make money quickly anywhere whenever I need to. Hopefully these suggestions will inspire your own ideas, once you put your mind to it and get determined you’ll be surprised how much money you can make in a short space of time.

I know that indirectly these money making ideas might lead to bigger things but on their own they won’t make you rich, however this article is called make money fast not get rich fast.
